The sister blend to our unique Yuzu Black. This Japanese sencha tea is grassy, vegetal, and very smooth with a hint of apricots. The fruitiness in this blend is warmly complemented by the yuzu's lemon-grapefruit citrus finish. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus lemon that is valued for its highly aromatic rind. Although this citron doesn’t contain much liquid, its zest and juice are used in perfumes, vinegars, syrups, and as a souring ingredient that stands up well to heat in cooking. Another iced pleasure!

Ingredients

Japanese Sencha Green Tea, Yuzu Rind.

Brewing Instructions

8 oz Cup

  1. Scoop one teaspoon of Yuzu Green tea into your infuser.
  2. Heat water to 175° (below boiling).
  3. Pour 8 oz. of water over tea leaves.
  4. Steep tea for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove infuser and enjoy tea.

Potful

Simply add to your infuser one heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 oz. of water and place it in your pot, then add the appropriate amount of 175° water and let it steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the infuser and serve!

Brewing Iced Tea

Our opinion is that a cooled concentrate works best, as regular-strength brew tends to become watery as the ice melts. So, use the above leaf quantities, but half the water, allow it to cool, then pour it over ice and enjoy! The brew will dilute down to proper strength as the ice melts.
