Limited Edition to Permanent Addition

May 28th 2026

One of the joys of offering limited edition teas is that they give us room to explore. Sometimes we bring in a small batch because we’re curious about a new region, a different processing style, or a tea that feels a little outside our usual offerings. A twisted oolong, a Nepalese black tea, or a particularly premium harvest might begin as a limited release simply because we want to see how people respond before making a bigger commitment.

Other times, a tea starts as limited because that is truly all we can get. We may only be able to secure a small quantity from a particular harvest, garden, or producer. Occasionally, what we thought would be a one-time offering becomes available again the following season, and if customers loved it, we’re happy to bring it back. Some teas become permanent simply because they earn their place. You tell us you love them, you come back for them, and we listen.

But not every limited tea can stay. Tea is an agricultural product, and each harvest has its own character. A tea that tastes beautiful one year may shift dramatically with the next pluck, depending on weather, growing conditions, processing choices, and countless other factors. When a tea disappears, it may be because the batch was truly finite, because the next harvest didn’t taste the same, or because it remained a lovely experiment rather than something our customers wanted year-round. Limited editions give us a chance to keep the tea list lively, seasonal, and a little surprising while still making room for the teas that become lasting favorites.
