Bringing On New Teas

The Jasmine Pearl loves to find new teas to share with you. In order to do that, we have relationships across the globe with farmers and producers.

The process typically starts when we notice a gap in our offerings. Next we reach out to request samples of teas that seem like they might work well for our customers.

Once we receive those samples, we sample them of course! The whole team sips and slurps and gives feedback. We push the tea to find its limits and ask questions like:
How hot should it be steeped?
For how long should it be steeped?
Can it be steeped multiple times?
What does it do when served cold?
Does it make a good base for a blend or is it a single drinker?

Ocassionally the teas are brought on as as a limited tea because there wasn't a lot of it produced. Sometimes the teas are so popular that we decide to keep them on permanently.

We drink a lot of teas that you may never know about because they are not up to our standards. The staff has a wide spectrum of very discerning palates.

Ultimately, we only bring on teas that we love and think you will love too!
