Ginger Queen – Archive Collection
Step into a world of bold, earthy flavors with our Ginger Queen, a limited-edition tea from our Archive Collection. This robust blend features our rich, fermented ripe puerh tea from Yunnan, China, paired with the lively kick of zesty ginger. Dark, smooth, and invigorating, Ginger Queen is perfect for those who enjoy a strong, full-bodied brew with a touch of spice.

Flavor Profile
The base of this blend, our loose-leaf ripe puerh, is renowned for its deep, earthy flavor, with subtle hints of chocolate and an unmistakable aged character. When steeped, the tea brews as dark as coffee, offering a rich, stout taste. We’ve added zesty ginger to bring a refreshing brightness to the mix, creating a balanced yet bold cup that is smooth and warming. The ginger adds a lively spice that enhances the complexity of the puerh, making this tea a one-of-a-kind experience.

A Unique Brewing Experience
Puerh tea is one of the most fascinating teas, undergoing a unique fermentation process that gives it its signature aged flavor. Sourced from Yunnan province, the tea leaves are expertly fermented, creating a tea that is as smooth as it is robust. The addition of ginger elevates the flavor, adding a layer of complexity to this already distinctive tea. Whether enjoyed hot or iced, Ginger Queen is a strong, energizing tea that can be savored throughout the day.

Brewing Instructions

8 oz Cup

  1. Scoop a heaping teaspoon of tea into infuser.
  2. Heat water to 212° F (boiling).
  3. Pour 8 oz. of water over tea leaves.
  4. Steep tea for 3-5 minutes (depending on taste preference).
  5. Remove infuser and enjoy tea.

Potful

Simply add to your infuser one heaping teaspoon of leaf per 8 oz. of water and place it in your pot, then add the appropriate amount of 212° F water and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the infuser and enjoy.

Brewing Iced Tea

Though we don't necessarily recommend drinking Ginger Queen iced, our opinion is that a cooled concentrate works best, as regular-strength brew tends to become watery as the ice melts. So, use the above leaf quantities, but half the water, allow it to cool, then pour it over ice and enjoy! The brew will dilute down to proper strength as the ice melts.
