Chaz’ Chai – House-Roasted Masala Black Tea
Chaz’ Chai is our signature masala chai, named after Jasmine Pearl co-founder Chuck (“Chaz”). Crafted from a deeply hands-on process, this blend begins with whole spices that are roasted individually to coax out their essential oils and freshest flavor. Each spice is then ground and carefully blended with bold Assam black tea to create a chai with depth, warmth, and character.
The result is a richly aromatic cup layered with spice and gentle heat—vibrant, toasty, and unmistakably handcrafted. This is chai made the slow way, with attention to detail you can taste in every sip.
Best enjoyed with milk and a touch of sweetener, Chaz’ Chai delivers a full-bodied, comforting brew that’s become a longtime favorite.

Brewing Instructions
8 oz Cup
- Scoop a heaping teaspoon of tea into your infuser.
- Heat water to 212° F (boiling).
- Pour 8 oz. of water over tea leaves.
- Steep tea for 4-5 minutes (depending on taste preference). Can also be simmered in milk, then strained.
- Remove infuser and enjoy tea.
With Milk
Alternately, the chai blend can be simmered in milk for a few minutes; stirring so as to not scorch the milk. If desired, add sweetener at the end. You'll have to strain it this way, but the resulting drink is richer.
Potful
Simply add to your infuser one heaping teaspoon of leaf per 8 oz. of water and place it in your pot, then add the appropriate amount of 212° F water and let it steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the infuser and enjoy. Also enjoyed with milk and sugar.
Brewing Iced Tea
Our opinion is that a cooled concentrate works best, as regular-strength brew tends to become watery as the ice melts. So, use the above leaf quantities, but half the water, allow it to cool, then pour it over ice and enjoy. The brew will dilute down to proper strength as the ice melts.
